When you become a mother, you gain so much more than just a tiny human to take care of.

You gain understanding

You gain patience (although that comes with time)

You gain perspective

You gain knowledge

You gain experience

You also gain a love like no other. A bond so strong it lasts a lifetime.

There are still days when I have no idea what I’m doing and wonder how we keep a human alive. Do you ever feel that way? I could barely keep plants alive before she came along. That’s a miracle in itself.  We do the best we can and know at the end of the day that it is enough. We are enough.
